“Cookbooks and food blogs have the exceptional ability to make our mouths water, inspire us to be better cooks and uncover the stories of the people behind the food,” said Karen Baxter, Executive Director, Taste Canada. “The books and blogs entered into this year’s competition reveal who we are as a people: our culture, our diversity and our truly Canadian viewpoint on food.”

Each year, Taste Canada presents awards to some of the best food and beverage writers in both official languages. The jury is comprised of volunteers from Canada’s culinary profession appointed by an independent selection committee.

The shortlist will be announced on July 9. The winners will be revealed at the Taste Canada Awards Gala on October 29 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.
