The words “detox” and “margarita” likely don’t belong in the same sentence, but I’m all for poking a little fun at the wild world of wellness. This vibrant margarita brings the sweet heat with freshly squeezed citrus and a little heat from cayenne (if you dare). Instead of a standard salted rim, I like a pinch of pink salt to emphasize the other flavors. Spicy Grapefruit Detox Margarita
Servings 1 serving
Ingredients
- Juice of 1 grapefruit
- Juice of 1 orange
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup or raw honey
- Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
- Pinch of cayenne pepper optional
- 1 ounce blanco tequila or nonalcoholic spirit optional
- Handful of ice plus more for serving
Instructions
- In a shaker or lidded jar, combine all the ingredients with a handful of ice. Shake well to combine. Serve over ice in your favorite cocktail glass. Sip and rejoice!
