\n\t\t\tComing Soon, is Canada’s landmark first cookbook festival-bringing together Canadian cookbook authors and culinary literary arts, celebrated leaders in the national publishing industry, and enthusiastic food lovers.\t<\/h2>\n

Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement de premier plan, organis\u00e9 en partenariat avec le Mus\u00e9e de l'immigration du Quai 21 \u00e0 Halifax, permettra au public de vivre des exp\u00e9riences savoureuses, d'\u00e9changer avec des auteurs de livres de cuisine, d'\u00e9couter des r\u00e9cits ax\u00e9s sur la culture, le patrimoine et les traditions culinaires, et de participer \u00e0 divers ateliers ax\u00e9s sur les arts culinaires et litt\u00e9raires au Canada. On November 9, 2025, acclaimed pastry chef, author, and Taste Canada award winner Anna Olson<\/a> joined Fairmont Royal York<\/a> Executive Pastry Chef Kapila Amaratunga for an imaginative Afternoon Tea.<\/p>\n

Presented in partnership with Taste Canada, this exclusive event showcased culinary creativity and connection in celebration of Canada’s vibrant food community. Guests were able to meet Anna in person, take home a signed recipe card and purchase a cookbook as a keepsake from this memorable afternoon. A portion of proceeds helped support Taste Canada’s ongoing programs that champion Canadian cookbook authors and food culture across the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Taste Canada is proud to have partnered with the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21<\/a> to support their exhibit, Eat. Make. Share: A Taste of Immigration. This this collaboration highlighted the deep connection between food, culture, and storytelling-and brought to life the recipes and traditions that define Canada’s diverse culinary landscape.<\/p>\n

Canada’s food is as diverse as its people. The way we eat is shaped by over 400 years of immigration and relationship building between First Peoples, settlers, and newcomers.<\/p>\n\"\ud83c\udf41\" Discovered the surprising histories behind popular Canadian dishes.
\n\"\ud83c\udf7d\ufe0f\" Learned how individuals and communities express themselves through food.
\n\"\ud83d\udc50\" Engaged in diverse food traditions practised in Canada through hands-on and multisensory activities.\n

This bilingual travelling exhibition, created by The Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, opened in Halifax May 2025. It will now travel across Canada for the next 5 years in both full-size and mini versions.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tEn apprendre plus\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t

\n\t\t\tTaste Canada x NEXT Food Expo\t<\/h2>\n

Taste Canada was proud to present at NEXT Food Expo<\/a> in Calgary, Alberta, and bring Canadian cookbook authors directly to the public. Through an author-focused panel discussion and a vibrant trade floor booth, attendees had the chance to connect with writers, hear their stories and take home Canadian-authored culinary works.<\/p>\n

At the most recent event, held September 8-9, 2025, Lactalis Canada Foodservice presented the Taste Canada panel “A Recipe for Success.” The conversation invited the audience behind the scenes of cookbook creation – from the spark of an idea, to recipe testing, to the joy of seeing a dish published in a finished book.<\/p>\n
